GRAY: NEDLEY (FREDDY)

IN LOVING MEMORY OF

GRAY: NEDLEY (FREDDY)

Sunrise: July 22, 1929 – Sunset: April 21, 2025

“A nuh who start di race, a who finish strong”

And so we gather to celebrate a man who finished with dignity, wisdom, and love – Mr. Nedley Gray,

father, farmer, trailblazer and family cornerstone.

Born in Jamaica in 1929, Nedley’s life was rooted in hard work, humble beginnings, and deep family values.

Back home, he built a life with Ruby Campbell, and together they raised four children:

Icilda “Norma” Bryant

Adolf “Stalin” Gray

Carol “Delores” Stephenson and Dornalyn “Pleasant” Gray

Mr. Gray’s lineage now includes 4 children, 24 grandchildren, and over 100 great-grandchildren – living proof that

“when yuh plant good seed, yuh reap good harvest.” As the bible says in Genesis 22:17:

“I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore.”

So today, we don’t just mourn – we celebrate. We laugh at the old jokes, we cry for what we’ve lost, and we stand firm for what he left behind! Thank You!

Rest easy, Daddy Nedley. You did well. Yuh cross di river and mek sure we had bridge. Yuh name lives on.
